Negative taken for September 3, 1958, Arkansas Gazette article "General Tours Historic Battlefield," 1B:3. Retired United States Army Major General Charles T. Harris III of Washington, Hempstead County, Arkansas, visited the Prairie Grove Battlefield Park in Washington County, Arkansas. Many people gathered at the park to remember those soldiers who fought at the Battle of Prairie Grove on December 7, 1862. Harris spoke at a podium to the audience.
